Ethiopia Records 336 More COVID-19 Cases, 12 Deaths

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has registered at least 336 more positive coronavirus infections on Monday, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

The ministry, in its daily Covid-19 report, said the country conducted over 4200 tests over the past twenty-four hours to find the new positive cases.

A further 12 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus during the same period, taking the death toll to 1, 581.

Currently, there are 37, 343 active cases in the country. A total of 308 patients are severely ill and are under treatment in Covid-19 medical centers,  reported the Ministry.

Today’s Covid-19 report also indicates that 265 patients have recovered from the deadly respiratory disease caused by coronavirus. To date, at least 64, 130 people have regained their health after contracting the virus.

Ethiopia has so far tested over 1.56mln people for coronavirus since the first case confirmed on March 13, and confirmed 103, 056 infections.
