Ethiopia Records 890 More COVID-19 Cases, 3 Deaths
ADDIS ABABA – A total of 890 more positive cases of coronavirus were registered in Ethiopia on Friday, the Ministry of Health said.
The new cases, one of the highest since the beginning of Ethiopia’s new year, have been identified after nearly 7000 people tested for the virus over the past twenty-four hours.
The Ministry of Health also reported 3 additional deaths, taking the tally since the start of the pandemic to 1, 208.
There are now over 44, 000 active cases. Of these, 296 patients are severely ill and are getting medical attention inside COVID-19 centers, according to health officials.
Health officials also reported the recovery of 247 patients from the respiratory disease. To date, up to 31, 677 patients recovered from COVID-19 in Ethiopia.
