Ethiopia Registers 1, 206 New Coronavirus Cases, 21 Deaths
ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has recorded over 1, 200 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, according to the ministry of health.
The East African nation has tested 25, 158 people for the virus in the past twenty-four hours to identify the new 1, 206 positive cases.
The ministry also reported a further 21 people have also died within the reported period of testing positive for the COVID-19.
The country currently has 36, 445 active cases. Of these, 308 people are in serious conditions, according to the ministry of health. It also said 531 patients of COVID-19 have recovered from the disease during the reported period.
Ethiopia confirmed its first case of coronavirus in mid March. Since then, the country has confirmed nearly 58, 672 cases, 918 deaths and 21, 307 recoveries.
