Ethiopia Records 915 New COVID-19 Infections; 11 Deaths

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has recorded 915 more coronavirus infections today, marking a new daily high.

The new patients have been identified after the country tested 8957 individuals for COVID-19, disease caused by coronavirus, over the past twenty-four hours.

Today’s Ministry of Health report notes that latest cases has increased the number of active cases to 10, 304

Of these, the ministry of health reported 138 patients are in severe conditions.

While 187 patients recovered from the disease, health officials said 11 patients have passed away due to the virus during the reported period.

Since the country registered its first case in mid-March, the east African nation tested 422, 354 individuals and found 17, 530 cases of COVID-19 including 274 deaths. Health officials reported the recovery of 6950 patients.
