Ethiopia Records 579 New cases of COVID-19; 5 Deaths

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has reported 579 cases of the novel coronavirus on Monday, taking the total case to more than 14, 500.

The country identified the new patients after testing a little over 700 people for the virus over the past twenty-four hours, said to health officials.

The number of deaths in the Eastern Africa nation related to COVID-19 also increased by 5, to bring the total to 228, according to day’s ministry of health report.

Currently, there are 7931 active cases. The ministry said 66 of them are severe condition.

Today’s report also shows that the recovery of 170 COVID-19 patients, taking the total number to 6386.

To date, Ethiopia tested more than 289, 300 individuals for the coronavirus and confirmed 14, 547 cases.
