COVID-19: Ethiopia Reports 3 New cases; 4 Patients Recovered

ADDIS ABEBA – Three more people have tested positive for the coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 74.

The Ministry of health, in its daily report, says the new patients are Ethiopian nationals.

The cases include 72-year old male, 40 years old male and 23 female patients and were detected from 274 samples tested in the past 24 hours.

Two of the patients have neither travel history nor contact with patients, according to the report.

The 23-year old patient had previous contact with a confirmed case.

On the same day, the ministry also announced that four patients have recovered from the virus taking the total number to 14.

There are currently 55 patients in a treatment center but no case in the intensive care unit.

Ethiopia reported its first case of coronavirus on 12 March and has confirmed three deaths from the virus.
