Ethiopia Reports 4 New COVID-19 Cases; 6 Have Recovered

ADDIS ABEBA – Six patients have fully recuperated from the noble coronavirus disease, reported the ministry of health today.

The figure has brought the number of recovered cases in Ethiopia to ten – including an 85-years-old patient.

The country, however, continues to confirm newly infected patients on a daily basis with its ministry reporting four more new cases of coronavirus.

A total of 345 laboratory tests in the past twenty-four hours. “Of this, four of them are confirmed positive for COVID-19,” said the ministry of health.

The latest figure takes the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Ethiopia to 69.

All of the newly infected patients are Ethiopians with most of them having a travel history. Three out of the four patients were under a mandatory quarantine upon return from the U.S. and Dubai.

The remaining one patient has either no travel history or contact with previously confirmed cases, the ministry’s report shows.
