AfDB Donates IT Equipment to Ethiopian Orphanages
ADDIS ABEBA – The African Development Bank (AfDB) has donated on Friday Telecommunications and Information Technology (IT) equipment to two orphanages in Ethiopia.
The equipments include telephones, printers, laptops, computer screens and accessories.
AfDB’s County Manager for Ethiopia, Dr. Abdul Kamara, handed over the donation to the two orphanages – Selam Children’s Village and Nigat Kokeb Kindergarten and Primary School.
Selam Children’s Village, supporting about 500 orphan children, is a non-profit humanitarian organization working to create a better life for orphan and destitute children.
Nigat Kokeb Kindergarten and Primary School also educates children coming from low-income families. The school depends on support from aid providers for uniforms, exercise books, breakfast and lunch for the students.
Both Selam and Nigat Kokeb managements have expressed their gratitude to the Bank.
At both ceremonies, the Country Manager expressed the Bank’s strong interest to work closely with both recipients going forward.
