ADDIS ABEBA – Foreign Minister Gedu Andargachew has held talks with Foreign Affairs and Defense Standing Committee members of the Norwegian Parliament today.
The Norwegian delegation led by Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Standing Committee Anniken Huitfeldt is in Addis Abeba for an official visit to Ethiopia.
During her meeting with Gedu, Huitfeldt said that the visit to Ethiopia is aimed at discussing with important partners the reform and development in Ethiopia.
Accordingly, Foreign Minister Gedu Andargachew briefed the delegation on the ongoing political, economic, judicial and social reforms underway in Ethiopia.
He urged the Norwegian members of Parliament to support the process, his ministry said in a statement.
The foreign minister also discussed Ethiopia’s regional peace initiative and its positive outcomes.
The discussion with the delegation also considered bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Ethiopia and Norway, according to the statement.
