Macroeconomic Committee assesses Ethiopia’s Economic Situation

The National Macroeconomic Committee conducted a meeting to evaluate the overall economic situation of the country, the Office of the Prime Minister said on Friday.

The Committee held the meeting Chaired by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on Friday morning.

In the meeting, the PM office said, the committee evaluated the overall economic situation and activities of the country.

In their deliberations, members of the committee reportedly drew upon the ideas and analysis of experts from governments, universities, and research institutions.

The National Macroeconomic Committee has close to 10 members including the Governor of the National Bank of Ethiopia, Ministers from Finance, Planning, and Revenues as well as senior Economic Advisers to the PM.
