Ministry Partners Italian Academy to Train Pediatric Cardiologists 

ADDIS ABABA  – The Ethiopian Ministry of Health has entered into an agreement with Italy-based Congenital Heart Academy to collaborate on a pediatric cardiologist specialist training program.

The MoU was signed between health Minister Dr. Lia Tadesse and chief of the Academy Prof Agati Salvatore in Addis Ababa on Friday.

The latest cooperation will pave the way for academic support in pediatric cardiologist specialization as well as increase the capacity of pediatric cardiologists.

Dr. Lia said the MoU signed with Academy would be key to providing training and professional development to enhance pediatric cardiology service in Ethiopia

“This partnership will provide a great opportunity to sustainably build capacity, enhancing the ongoing efforts to improve access and quality of cardiac care,” the minister added.
