Ethiopia Reports 337 new Covid-19 Cases

ADDIS ABABA — Ethiopia has recorded 337 more Covid-19 infections on Monday, bringing the confirmed cases tally to 362, 672, reveals the Ministry of health.

The country identified the latest positive cases after conducting more than 5, 700 people in the last twenty-four hours.

In its daily report, the ministry also reveals 19 more coronavirus-related fatalities and 746 recoveries in the same period, pushing the national death toll to 6, 377 and total recoveries to 336, 126.

There are now 20, 131 confirmed active cases nationwide. At least 491 of them are severely sick and are currently receiving treatment in medical centers, the report claims.

The government is taking various measures to halt the pandemic including a national vaccination campaign.

In the past 24-hours, more than 55, 000 doses of covid vaccines have been administered to the public, data from the ministry of health indicates.

Ethiopia started the ongoing vaccination drive on March 13, 2021.

To date, it has fully inoculated a total of 3, 264, 531 people against the virus.
