Road Accident Kills Six in North Shoa Zone

ADDIS ABABA – Six people were killed in a road accident in Hageremariam, North Shoa Zone of Amhara State, reports the communication bureau of North Shoa Zone.

The accident occurred at around 8a.m. on Thursday when a public bus traveling from Shirer Kebele to Hamusit Geberay crashed into an abyss of approximately 180 meters, according to the bureau.

The bureau said 10 people were onboard in the bus identified with a plate number 31605, Code 3 Oro.

Four people immediately died as a result of the accident while two other died after they were taken to Sheno Primary Hospital, the bureau said.

The remaining travelers are being treated in the Hospital. Police said the cause of the accident is under investigation.
