Ethiopia Records 1, 173 More Coronavirus Cases, 19 Deaths

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia on Tuesday reported 1, 173 additional noble coronavirus (COVID-19) infections, taking the tally of confirmed cases to 53, 304, according to the Ministry of Health.

The new positive cases have been identified after the east African nation tested 18, 160 individuals over the past twenty-four hours.

Health officials also reported 19 more COVID-19 related deaths, taking the death toll to 828.

There are now 32, 987. 0, 000 active case. Of which, 306 are in serious condition, according to the Ministry.

Some 493 patients have recovered from the disease during the reported period. To date, 19, 487 patients have recovered from the respiratory illness.

Ethiopia identified its first coronavirus infection in mid March. Since then, it has tested 928, 453 people for the virus and confirmed more than 53, 000.
