COVID-19: Ethiopia Reports 1, 336 More Cases, 28 Deaths

ADDIS ABABA – Ethiopia has reported 1, 336 more cases of the noble coronavirus on Wednesday, taking the tally in the country to over 34, 000.

The ministry of health said 21, 326 people tested for the COVID-19, a respiratory illness caused by coronavirus, in the past twenty four hours.



The ministry also reported 28 more deaths during the period, pushing the death toll to 600.

Moreover, 370 patients have recovered from the disease. To date, 13, 308 patients recovered from the Covid-19.

Currently, there are 20, 148 active cases across the country. Of these, 255 patients are in severe conditions, said the ministry.

Ethiopia confirmed its first case of COVID-19 in mid-March. To date, the country has tested 672, 637 people and confirmed 34, 058 cases.
