Abiy to Respond to MPs’ Questions on Monday

ADDIS ABABA – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed is set to respond to members of parliament’s queries on various current issues of Ethiopia on Monday, the house said.

Abiy last appeared before the lawmakers at the end of October last year in the hall of parliament, which they now abandoned temporarily as part of the response to contain COVID-19 pandemic.



He will now meet them during their 5th extraordinary session on Monday morning at Prime Minister’s Office Conference Hall.

The prime minister will respond to MPs’ queries, said the office of parliament in a statement, which also said it will be televised to the public.

Questions regarding the government’s response to the current pandemic, Ethiopia’s border-related dispute with Sudan, Renaissance Dam are expected to be raised during the extra related session.
