COVID-19 Cases in Ethiopia Hit 122 with Five New Patients

ADDIS ABABA – Five people including four Chinese nationals have tested positive for COVID-19 today, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Ethiopia to 122.

Ten laboratories tested at least 1, 019 individuals in the past twenty-four hours. “Of this, five of them confirmed positive for COVID-19,” said the Ministry of Health. “The total confirmed cases as of today is 122.”

The ministry said the Chinese nationals with no travel history contacted the virus from a previously confirmed case.

They are residents of Sebeta Town of Oromia regional state.

The ministry is also investigating how a 75 years old Ethiopian who resides in Addis Ababa contacted the virus. The patient has no travel history.
