Italian Cuisine Week in Ethiopia Begins Today
ADDIS ABEBA – The fourth edition of Week of the Italian Cuisine has started on Monday with the theme “Food Education: Culture of taste”.
The Week is being celebrated in Ethiopia and all around the world and will end on the 25th of November 2019.
Thousands of events, organized by the Italian government and its agencies, will be held globally focusing on the Mediterranean Diet as a healthy lifestyle and a balanced diet model for everyone.
In Ethiopia, the Italian embassy said many events have been organized throughout the Week, with the motto “Italian food, you taste it, you love it!”.
The hotel management School “Aldo Moro” of Santa Cesarea Terme is the partner of this edition.
Seven Italian Chefs have arrived on Monday Morning to join hands with the Catering and Tourism Center of Addis Ababa for cooking classes on Pasta and Risotti.
The Chefs will also engage, during the weekend, with selected Italian restaurants Gusto, Mamma Mia, Ristorante da Linda to present innovated dishes and tastings.
The Ethiopian students who will benefit from the cooking classes will also have the opportunity to showcase their talent at a Masterchef competition which will be held at the Residence of the Italian Ambassador on Monday 25 November 2019.
The embassy of Italy said it will host a major event for government officials, Addis-based ambassadors, representatives of the business and cultural communities, among others.
