PM Holds Talks with Djibouti FM

ADDIS ABABA – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed met with Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Djibouti, on Friday.

Youssouf brought a message from President Ismaïl Omar Guelleh to the PM.



In addition, the two discussed bilateral issues including accelerating economic relations between the two countries and strengthening social and cultural relations, according to the office of the Prime Minister.

Djibouti’s FM came to Addis Abeba to attend a ministerial meeting on Sudan.

“Considering regional peace and security, they also consulted on the role of IGAD in facilitating stability in Sudan through the leadership of PM Abiy Ahmed,” the office said in a statement.

Marking the strong relationship between Ethiopia and Djibouti, the visit ended with planting seedlings in the compound.
