Addis to Host Major Agri, Medical Trade Fairs

ADDIS ABEBA – Addis Abeba Chamber of commerce is set to host the 12th edition international agriculture, food and its first edition of Medical Trade fair starting from Thursday.
The five-day events at Addis Abeba Exhibition Center are expected showcase products and services of major international medical companies as well as producers of agricultural inputs.
Their representatives will also share their experience at medical conference which will be organized as part of the trade fair, said the organizers.
Kassahun Mamo, Communication manager of the Chamber, said local businesses they will have an opportunity to hold Business to Business meeting with international firms.
“The first medical fair is also expected to encourage local pharmaceuticals, equipment and drug importers to venture out to the international business stage,” Kassahun added.
The agriculture and food fair have similar aim, he said, adding it will enable them to introduce themselves as well as their products and services to the general public and the international business community.
About 35 international companies from 10 different countries including China, UAE, India and Thailand, are expected to attend the event.
Under the agriculture and food exhibition, participating companies will include bakeries, cheese makers, food processors, fertilizer suppliers and agro- machinery manufacturers.
