Chinese Firm Seeks to Make Household Products here

ADDIS ABABA – Chinese company Kunhuang Group, held discussions with the Ethiopian Investment officials over a plan to set up a manufacturing plant in the East African nation.

Ethiopian Investment Commission chief Lelise Neme and her deputy Daniel Teressa discussed the plan with the owners of the Chinese company on Tuesday.

Kunhuang Group is interested in making household and sanitary products in Ethiopia, according to the EIC.

The EEC officials briefed the owners on investment opportunities and incentive packages, support and facilitation that the country offers to investors.

The company plans to invest more than 80 million US dollars in the manufacturing facility inside the CCCC Arerti Industrial Park – one of the privately owned and developed Industrial Parks in Ethiopia.

The IP, which hosts building materials and ceramics manufacturing plants, is located in Arerti town of Amhara region’s North Shoa Zone.
